Polignano a Mare

Polignano a Mare is called “the pearl of the Adriatic sea”, a place where the blue of the sky and the blue of the sea blend together to give a breathtaking sight: Lama Monachile (also called Cala Porto) is one of the most portrayed views in Puglia, and maybe in Italy as well. Here, white, high cliffs falls into the crystal water, creating a narrow, circular beach made of little rocks, which is stunning from any point of view.

We believe that Polignano needs to be experienced in person to fully understand its beauty. Have a walk around the pedestrian, white alleys full of secrets treasures, like passages with many colored flowers or doors with famous quotes hand-written on them.

Overlook the blue sea from the many terraces, to have an even more thrilling view of Cala Porto. And of course, you need to have a bath in this magical little beach, because from the sea it gains a whole new perspective. The bravest could also follow the locals and climb the cliff to dive back into the blue. Take a walk to Domenico Modugno’s statue, an important Italian singer: from here, climb down the stairs to reach a rocky plain, to full breath the breeze coming from the sea.
